Last August, the Gallup Organization conducted its annual Work and Education survey by conducting telephone interviews with 1019 households. They spoke with 547 adults were were employed either full time or part time, and asked, “Trying to be as honest as you can, about how many hours per work day do you say that you, personally, waste — that is, really don’t do anything productive?” Is the variable being measured categorical or quantitative? I know this is quantitative but I don’t understand WHY.
