Microsoft Office Suite: Taskes and Benefits
Purpose of the Project:
This project has a two-fold purpose:
1. To help you have a better understanding of Microsoft Office suite and the applications. 2. To provide you with an opportinuty to write a report in Microsoft Word format.
Requirements of the Project:
As the new office manager for ABC Realty, a busy real estate firm in Los Angeles, California, you
need to know your way around Microsoft Office suite in order to quickly finish the variety of tasks
that cross your desk. Another reason that it’s important for you to be expert with the Office suite is
that you are relied upon by the agents in your firm to answer their questions and assist them with
their projects and services using Microsoft Office suite.
For this challenge, identify five taskes that can use applications in Microsoft Office suite and
discuss the benefits for each task in relation to your work.
Write a short report about your findings, which accounts 4% of your final grade.
The report should be word-processed in Times New Roman 12-point font, with no less than
THREE and no more than FOUR double-spaced and numbered pages (with 1” margins on all
sides), excluding figures, tables, or illustrations. It should include the following parts:
▪ Your name and course information (No separate title page, please.). ▪ Title of the report. ▪ Body of the report
o Identification of the tasks that can use applications in Microsoft Office suite. o Discussion on the applications and the benefits in relation to the tasks.
▪ References (if any).
Please name your file using the format: IST101-71 P-1 Your Last Name, First Name.
Grades will be based on:
✓ The organization/structure of your report (40%). ✓ The content, quality, and clarity of your report (60%).
