One day while Sam is enjoying her lunch in one of Washington, DC’s many parks, a mean (i.e. pesky) squirrel walks right up to her and steals half of the egg salad sandwich she put on her blanket. Her outrage induces her to research the squirrel population in the city.The city’s official data reports an average of 100 squirrels per park, but the data is ten years old. Her hypothesis is that the squirrel population has increased considerably over the decade.
