Other options are to take your own field trip and write a brief one-page report on how your observations relate to the environmental geology concepts, insights and information that have comprised our GEOL& 110 class.  The format of this report is open-ended as long as you provide your own observations and their relationship to the class. 

Elwha River Dam Removal and Restoration Project.  Visit the Elwha River in-person or virtually and report on the ongoing environmental and cultural impact of the removal of its dam several years ago.  This story is nicely summarized on page 293 in  one of our textbook chapters we will not cover.  I visited in-person in 2016 and was impressed by the evolving landscape.  You will also find many online resources for reporting on this environmental experiment, including the following:
