Degree endorsement is the strategy by which all social occasions (underpins, customers, clients, et cetera.) formally grasp the degree of the wander. It requires a survey of work things and results to ensure that they are done precisely and tasteful. If the analysis closes carelessly, the expansion endorsement process should see and record the level and level of satisfaction (Wortmann, J.C. 2012). Augmentation endorsement differs from quality control since it essentially incorporates affirmation of work comes to fruition, while quality control implies the rightness of activity happens. Eventual outcomes of undertaking, occasion or occasion of all or part of the result are the outcome of the execution of the wander plan. Records submitted to the endeavor thing portrayal must be available for review. The terms used to portray this record (plans, judgments, particular files, outlines, et cetera.) vary according to the application region (Wortmann, J.C. 2012).

The audit should fuse such activities as estimation, testing and testing to choose if the results meet the essentials. Examinations are differing called studies, thing reviews, surveys and walking goes; in a couple of regions of utilization, these unmistakable terms have thin and specific significance (Wortmann, J.C. 2012). A record that a customer or support has recognized that a wander or stage thing ought to be masterminded and scattered. This affirmation may be unexpected, especially toward the complete of the stage. Control overextension changes imply (a) factors that impact contrasts in the degree to ensure that the movements are useful, (b) to choose the degree of changes, and (c) to regulate genuine changes at the period of the occasion and when.

Changes inside the control go must be completely joined into other control shapes (time control, cost control, quality control) (Morris, Peter W.G. 2010). Execution reports give information about the feasibility of the degree, for instance, widely appealing thing culmination, and which are assuredly not. The execution report may moreover enable the endeavor to gathering to recollect issues that may incite issues later on (Morris, Peter W.G. 2010).A change request can occur in various structures verbal or formed, quick or underhanded, outside or internal, legally endorsed, or optional. The movements might be extended or may be allowed to restrain the degree. The structure that controls the augmentation change chooses the technique in which the degree of the endeavor can be changed. It consolidates chronicles, following edges, and underwriting levels required to decide changes (Morris, Peter W.G. 2010).

Question:

1.  What is that project? Provide complete description. Consider using PPM.

2.  What was the scoop, deliverable, and results of the project?

3.  What constraints did you experience and how did you handle them?

4.  If you had to do the same project again, what changes will you recommend?

The project is titled as the use of microchips on livestock. The project is intended to monitor the movement of animals on the farm, detect diseases, and ensure the security of the cattle in the herd. The chip will use RFID technology where they pass information to a centralized computerized system on my phone and computer. The automated system helps me collect data on the cows and monitor their actions.

The Management System is divided into three components. One is Individual animal identification, a well-incorporated software program, and equipment used to read animal information and send it to the computer system. The primary objective of the project is to integrate Information Technology in herd management making it easy to manage the livestock in a more coordinated manner. The primary goal of the project is to increase yields at a lower cost. The project is also aimed at reducing the workload of managing animals since the system makes it easier to handle the animals. Through this, I will be able to handle a bigger herd. The software and identification systems improve reproduction and health programs of the animals.

Some of the constraints faced in the project include financial constraints. To develop and implement a computerized system in an animal herd requires a substantive amount of capital, to purchase the chips and the whole software program. Secondly, access to the software programs was quite a hurdle since incorporation system takes quite a long time to fix in the system. If I were to do the same or a similar project, I would first engage in intense research to get the best software system. We are living in a world full of cons which prompts one to be extra cautious. I would also prepare myself financially to have enough capital to come up with a well-prepared budget for the project.

Question: Ethics and Information Management

Read at least four (4) academically reviewed articles on the ethical issues that may arise in information management.

1.    Write a comparative analysis of the articles noting the similarities and differences.

2.    Compare the information in those articles to the materials in Chapter 14 of your textbook. Does the premise of those articles support the overall theme of the materials in Chapter 14 of your textbook? Why or why not?

3.    Discuss what you learned from those articles. In your discussion, give example(s) of your organization handles ethic concerns as they relate to information management.

Ethics is a code of values that depend on the behavior of a person or a group in an organization with respect to what is right and what is wrong. Ethics plays a major role in decision making and sets standards in choosing good or bad. These Ethics can change over a period choosing the right decision. Companies with the ethical practices ensure that the company would reach its goals and targets.

When comparing all the articles there are many similarities than differences. Some of the similarities include as ethical practice is a rational thinking to choose between two options. As the articles describe more about ethics in the current, emerging and future in information management. The major ethical issues these articles quoted was problems with over commitment, manipulating requirements, overconfident etc. To overcome all these ethical practices should be implemented in companies. Major differences among these articles is like giving future directions in ethical practices. As these articles have research on the different type of fields these ethics change over a period and vary among different organizations and their fields.

When comparing all the articles with chapter 14, they have an almost similar description like in the articles. Ethics practices help the company to achieve their goals and plan their performance strategies. These articles support the theme of chapter 14. Because these articles state the importance and role of ethical practices and clearly explain the issues faced by companies with unethical behavior.

I would like to introduce ethical practices in my company. For example, increasing personal Integrity by gaining trust among others like team and superiors. By maintaining consistent behavior with the same words and actions without changing them. Admitting the fault of the mistakes. Maintaining the moral values and achieving the goals by following principles and not breaking the law. As the companies are working hard to improve the performance I feel that it is equally important to improve the performance created by ethical practices.

1.    Write a comparative analysis of the articles noting the similarities and differences

Ethics are moral principles that conceptualize as what is good and bad, right and wrong, partial and impartial for individuals and society. The information technology provides us with new capabilities and choices for action but there is no policy exist or conduct for existing ones are inadequate, resulting to an uncertainty in fixing the moral duty and obligation of a person or organization in deciding the social impact the computer ethics or information system formulates and justifies for its ethical use.

The articles related to the ethics in information management indicate conceptual similarities in defining it but differ in handling the serious ethical challenges being faced by IT experts and users of information technology, due to varying factors such as awareness, judgment, intent, behavior, gender, cultural and religious difference, and geographical boundaries.

All the articles are emphasizing to maintain the ethics issues related to information technology by sharing the responsibility by an employee and organization as whole considering the emergence of more information technologies in future, to be more vigilant and honest as to how they should behave and how the organization should predict an individual’s behavior despite having increased pressure.

The differences noted down in the one article (5 Ethical Challenges of Information Technology) which emphasizes the formulation of the policies on ethical challenges like lack of privacy, security, software piracy, and increased computer crime related to the information technology and to put on a tag on loopholes that technology offers. The second article (What is computer ethics?) proposing on a mechanical application of an ethical theory to develop a conceptual framework for understanding ethical problems involving computer technology. The third article (Unique ethical problems in information technology) argues that authentic and significant field of computer ethics should not be allowed to become moral instruction, because computer technology is a hypothetical field with single ethical issues existing with the invention of computer and lack of resemblance is compelling us to frame new moral ethics, develop new policies and moral values. The forth articles (Ethics of emerging information and communication technology) raises the concerns at the scenario, when due to the emergence of new technologies, machines shall be replacing the human and taking over mankind, disrupting social aspects when technology will mediate between people to have interaction. In this scenario, what would be the moral worth of the machine and whether the machine shall be held responsible for unethical behavior? If yes, what appearance the machine ethics would have?

2. Compare the information in those articles with the materials in Chapter 14 of your textbook. Does the premise of those articles support the overall theme of the materials in Chapter 14 of your textbook? Why or why not?

The contents of the articles mostly support overall theme of the material in chapter fourteen on ethical issues related to information technology, like a breach of privacy, misuse of power and discrimination during the recruitment process, misuse of information, applicable civil rights, and about irresponsible behavior. Comparing with the contents of the articles, articles are focusing on the emergence of new technologies but the material in chapter fourteen, specifically highlights the six technology trends helping in flourishing the business.

3. Discuss what you learned from those articles. In your discussion, give example(s) of your organization handles ethic concerns as they relate to information management.

After churning the contents of the articles, I learned that every business organization depending on digital technology should adhere to the ethical approach and formulate the moral principles to be followed by all employees. The management should also have an eye that nobody crosses the limit for his/ her own benefit and privacy and security tools are used to protect the intellectual property from hackers being used maliciously.  My organization, the instructions are being passed on to everyone through a written commitment to follow ethical norms. Seniors are entrusted to maintain the ethical culture and monitor behavior of employees on a regular Basis.

Reflection/Learning Outcomes Assessment

Write a critical evaluation of your learning outcome. In your response, consider:

1. Consider the content of this class as they relate to information management/IT and managerial decision making.

2. Base on the course content, discuss new skills you acquired from this class? How relevant are the new skills to your current and/or future profession?

3. How would you apply your new knowledge?

Management is the day to day manning the systems in place for a business, institutions, and organizations for the successful efficient and effective flow of work. This includes protection of the information which is data and systems which include the company’s strategies in business approach and computer hard wares and software the institution has put in place to help achieve its goals and mission the market. (Laudon, K. C. et al. (2018). A management information system is a highly computerized database of financial and operational data organized and programmed in a way that it gives regular reports on operations on every level of management in a business organization. Thus with a proper MIS in place, it is easier to retrieve special reports easily and efficiently. MIS main roles are to give the management team feedback about own performance and from that the top management can monitor the whole organization wholly. As the information contained in the MIS reports shows actual data results against planned results. The MIS receives information from all the business sections and functional units. (Ferreira, E. J. et al. (2016.)The nature of MIS is that some data are automatically gathered and from the computer system and other is keyed in at set times. Routine MIS reports are programmed and do run at set Intervals or on prompt request. Most complex MIS also monitor and display the performance of the company’s inventory. In most companies, MIS is used at every level of management but the decisions to implement the recommendations from the MIS reports fall within the jurisdiction of the chief information officers and. They are the ones who charged with an overall responsibility of the technology strategy of the company including evaluation of how the technology can help their organization, our chief decision makers in the implementation process of the new MIS. The types of pieces of information systems that may be used to extract data are decisions support systems, executive information systems, marketing information systems, accounting information systems, office automation systems, enterprise resource planning, and school information management

This subject helps to identify by the data it provides in nonfunctional areas.

1)      It helps us to achieve greater efficiency as it helps to figure out the strengths and weaknesses.

2)      It helps us in making the best decision based on the availability of information

3)      Helps us to avoid communication gaps between different departments in work location, like managers, employees in terms of different departments and find the best solution.

4)      Improves individual employees productivity.

5)      This subject helped me to understand the how the business is managed it is not only applying for large business but also can be implemented in small business too.

Proper utilization of this Management of information’s subject helps us to avoid any waste of money, Resources and time. I always implement and guide my managers or lead to anything which is inappropriate. For instance, if there is any project assigned and if there is the very short deadline to it I would recommend my manager to consider the budget and planning to execute it well in short span of time so that we can see the big picture of the project and avoid any pitfalls
